My goal as a Realtor® is to alleviate the stress.
I grew up as a military brat so, believe me, I know how to move. While in high school, my family lived in Seoul, South Korea and we were able to explore much of Asia from that location.
When I came back to the States I met my husband at Salisbury University. After graduation we rented for a couple years before being encouraged to buy our first home. That first-time home buyer experience comes to mind each time I help a first-time home buyer navigate the road to home ownership.
Since then, we have bought and sold four houses in three states. I learned how to stage our home to make it look like the next owner’s dream home and each home went under contract within two weeks. Years later, the transition to a career in real estate was natural. Since becoming a Realtor®, I have become aware of just how much work goes on behind the scenes when you sell or buy property. I aim to make sure each of my clients, whether a first-time buyer or a 5th time seller, is not stressed about those details and the transaction feels like a walk in the park.
Because I am in the office daily, I have had the benefit of learning from hundreds of real estate transactions over the years and use that knowledge to educate my clients. Knowledge such as what types of repairs are likely to be requested by appraisers with different types of financing; how quickly homes in neighborhood typically sell; and what is a realistic market value for a property benefit both buyers and sellers.
The National Association of Realtors offers additional certification as a Military Relocation Professional. This certification process educates Realtors® about the unique housing needs of active duty and former military members. I jumped at the chance to be able to give back to the community I was raised in and proudly display the Military Relocation Professional seal.
Prior to real estate, I had a lengthy career as a graphic designer. The skills I honed converting complex information into easily understood visuals—creativity, customer service, problem solving, project management, and attention to detail—serve me well as a Dandridge’s Marketing Manager and as your Realtor®.
